Stolen Fish Nearly Wins Fishing Competition

According to a BBC report, Matthew Clark, 29, stole a 13+ lb sea bass (shown above) from the aquarium in St Peter Port, Guernsey, then entered the fish in a competition and nearly won the £800 (US$ 1290) first prize.  The fish, which bore two distinctive markings was recognized by one of the judges as a fish recently stolen form a local aquarium, at which Clark was employed.

Clark’s attorney, Sam Maindonald, said her client regretted stealing the fish and that he was at a loss to explain why he had done it.  Please, friends, let Beel offer a speculative hypothesis: he did it for the money!
